Today’s post begins a week-long tribute to Little Goldie Books. I’m sure many 40-something satanists still have fond memories of this little gem, which was buried in a stack of Life magazines in a basement in Salt Lake City until recently.

Now, this takes me back. This game was a great way to learn your 1,089 basic colors, giving preschoolers a jump start on college level graphic design. This set is nearly complete (missing only 176 cards) and is in great shape, as if it was almost never played.

Here’s a classic Little Goldie Book (found at a rummage sale in Florence, Alabama) that teaches kids a valuable life lesson. We’ve all had bad days, but Mr. Bear’s might just be the worst. Boy, it’s hard to find these things in mint condition!
